AD Prices

I just read on the swissluxury.com website that AD's buy their Rolex watches at about 60% of the retail price.

Can you confirm that?

Cheers

I got told by an AD that there was about a 40% profit margin on some models, hence why they will sometimes give between 15 - 17% discount.
And still get a healthy profit!!

22% - wow. Congratulations. When I bought my SD, I got 12.5% plus some guft voucher so a total of 15% and it took me 2 days to get rid of that studip smile on my face...

Mike I got 15% on all my stainless watches, but they can discount the all gold ones much better......

I have a great relationship with AD, and they treat me awesome!

Great info. But, I don't think they will give a 15% discount on popular models.

Most watches have a 40% margin on MSRP. You could get a bigger discount on a more expensive watch... 40% is greater on a 25K versus a 5k watch.

I got 15% on my SS Submariner and I think it's a bit on the popular radar.

I've always been able to purchase with a 20% discount. Depending on the model I'm guessing there is still a 20-40% profit? Has this always been the case on the margin?

Mike,

I have a Explorer II White Dial, and my AD gave me 15% off the retail price! If you can't find it locally, I'll be glad to pick one up for you, and you can wire or mail me a check. I'll make sure the sale information is totally in your name, or I could have my AD deal directly with you!

Let me know,

Matt

The statements are true. The cost for AD is 60% of MSRP.
More than 20% is rare and even 15% is hard for SS models.
That was a great deal.

Wow, Please let us know which AD gives 20% on regular basis. I don't mind checking that out! Maybe I'll get more new ones rather than pre-loved ones!

Mike,

For some, it’s a disease! But for others it’s an extremely happy time in your life for sure….
