Nearly a really bad day in the gym!

Had a session in the gym this morning and afterwards thought I would visit the spa for a quick swim & sauna. Went to my locker, changed, quickly threw my sports bag back in and off I went to the spa.
Came back and much to my horror there was no combination lock on the locker door and my bag was missing, leaving only my clothes!
The bag had my Rolex Exp39mm Mk1, car keys, iPod & my Zeiss specs etc!
I wear my Exp in the gym but not in the spa.
I was absolutely stunned!
So I changed, sat down to calm down and think!
Then I noticed a locker with a lock which looked similar to mine to the one which was missing.
I entered the combination and the lock opened!
In my haste I had thrown my bag quickly into another locker!
Was I pleased! Phew! Another lesson learnt, gotter really think what I am doing!

I've read enough gym horror stories on here that I've made myself a promise: to never join a gym.

LOL @ the followup comments. Funny guys indeed.

@ OP, I'm glad things didn't turn for the worst....I'm still a proponent of going to the gym if @ all possible with nothing but an ID and your gym clothes. I find the time to myself therapeutic and don't need the worries/distractions.

If I ever leave the house knowing that at some stage I'm going to have to remove my watch and not have it within line of sight, I leave it at home.

Glad it turned out well but why do you take off a sports watch at the gym?

While I know Rolex's can withstand any activity a gym could produce, I just think it's such a bad look wearing one at the gym. Its usually the guy staring at himself in the mirror, texting and taking up a machine someone is waiting on, or just about any other bad gym etiquette.

Yeah, no matter where you go, there is always that one old guy that walks around naked and does lunges in the locker room. WTF????

Hey, those lunges are good for my balance!

I worked out today, with my old DJ on. I didn't see a single person look at me with contempt! I admit I don't wear my Platona there, but think in general very few people are noticing watches and forming opinions as much as we think they are.
