Wow, this was a great thread. I've been lurking on TRF... reading and educating myself on what I might like, etc. I've been really considering the fluted datejust II in blue/Roman... but the polar keeps calling me. I wear a Panerai 312 as my baby, and a deep blue Oris Aquis Small Seconds as my daily watch, but I really don't have a white face or a GMT. This is a beautiful piece and deserves my attention. I want something that can be dressy and sporty. And while I hear plenty of talk on TRF that hate the DJ2 or the DJ41, I don't think I find any haters on the polar explorer. The black looks great too, don't get me wrong. I'd just want the polar for contrast to my other pieces.
