The Platinum 3776 music nib
I remember a while ago a member here posted about ordering one but I can't find the thread. I'm interested to know what the opinion of this nib is. If I remember right there was some conflict and I think a pen was returned. I don't have a music nib and this looks interesting. The Chartres blue 3776 has been speaking to me lately. I love stubs and italics so there's always the option of grinding a double broad to suit.

Jim, do you feel the music nib is worth $50 more than the broad nib pen? The double broad cost the same as a music nib. I would just grind the broad nib to an italic and pocket the difference. To me it's just time to grind the nib so maybe an hour or so. I don't mind working on nibs so it's not actual "work". Do you know if the music nib and standard nib pens have the same feed?

Not sure about the feed. A broad turned into a stub would be my choice. Maybe even a "C" nib.

Honestly the music nib isn't as "crisp" in the writing sample as I've ground my other nibs to lately so I would imagine needing to sharpen it up as well. The broad re grind is looking to be the way to go.
