Down to one Rolex

Well I sold my Milgauss to a fellow member and he's very happy to have it which I think is great. I just didn't give it enough wrist time to justify keeping it. That just leaves me with Bluesy though, and to be honest it's the only one that really keeps my attention year after year. I've had it for 5 years, and during that time i've had a datejust, day-date, and milgauss, only to sell them because my Sub keeps finding it's way back onto my wrist. In all fairness the day-date was older and the stretch in the band turned me off.

I don't know what to do from this point forward. One on hand I feel like I should just go all out on an 18k model, but on the other I wonder if I would just bore from that too and get stuck trying to sell an even more expensive piece. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Even if you haven't, suggestions are welcome.

Well, I like rotating my watches so I couldn't stay with just one watch.
But I agree with you selling one's you don't wear much at all.

I was surprised to see your ad because I thought you had decided to keep the Milgauss. The price you were selling it at almost made me buy it. Maybe you're just a one Rollie kind of guy.

Sounds like bluesy is the only one that really gets you going. Just enjoy it for now and maybe later something will really scream at you.

I must say, I'll never buy another watch without putting it on my wrist first. When I put on the TT Sub I said aloud "This is it" after going to the AD for a wrist check. With the others it was a good photo that got me to buy. 2 were over the net and the Milly was from an AD when they were really hard to come by, so if I ordered it I had an obligation to buy it.

And I hope I'm not a one Rollie kinda guy. I like them too much!

I think that the TT Submariner might just be your perfect "only watch," which is great. Why even try to flip around for another companion?

Agreed with the wrist trial first.

I don't ever want to flip a Rolex. I want to buy once and keep 'em all.

I have pre-flipped many in my minds. I think I wrote something about that before. I even go to my AD multiple times to try on the watches to really make sure that I like them.
