Opinions - which of these 1675 would you buy?
I am not rich so I can't afford museum quality pieces, but I can afford one of these two pieces and I've always wanted a 1675. Which would you pick knowing the following details? Or is it all down to which one I think looks better?
The black insert: * 1966 * Service dial * Service hands (lume was colored to match dial) * 93150 bracelet (definitely wrong) * Not sure about that insert The Pepsi insert: * 1970 * Service dial * Service hands * Service insert * C&I rivet I'm leaning towards the Pepsi due to the rivet bracelet possibly being original for this watch, but I do like the creamy indices on the black insert watch. |

Unfortunately no movement pics. Seller has a money-back guarantee if it isn't 100% genuine and also accepts returns for any reason so I could easily check when I get the watch to make sure it has the right movement. There are so many variations in 1675 that it is hard to tell what is genuine and what isn't, but my hope is both watches have only RSC parts.

I am not an expert, are you sure this is a service dial? I did not think service dials came with a Swiss T25 on the dial. The dial looks exactly like the dial on my 1675 and I know mine is not a service dial.
It also looks like it has a rail dial. I would like to see the 6 & 9 on the date wheel. The bezel insert looks like mine, too. jmho

Thanks Frosty. After comparing the two for a while I went ahead and got the Pepsi. If it isn't a service dial that would be great. I have a 5512 with a service dial and it is a tritium dial with T < 25 so I assume they kept them around for a long time. I used to have a 5513 service dial that just said "SWISS" and now that I look at 1675 service dials they all say "SWISS" so I'm not sure. I am constantly learning new things about vintage pieces but it is hard to keep up sometimes.

Those are two very nice watches! I, also have a 5512 and the 1675. The 1675 on a Jubilee Bracelet is so comfortable and accurate it is my daily wearer.
You will enjoy it!

Congrats on the purchase.
The 1970 is a service dial. It should have a Mk-1 dial, long-E. There are three service dials, two which have the <25 on the dial, one tritium and the second luminova. Expose it to light and see if it lights up and that will let you know which one you have... Cheers. |

Only is the springbars are showing on the Pepsi. May be a little thin or just wrong springbars.

Thanks for the info guys! I'm not sure where to go next but something tells me a Great White will be next! My goal is to try and get all of the matte dials. They don't have to be perfect!
