He gave me a watch that he claims to have just "found" while going for a walk, and Im almost certain it's a fake because that kind of blind luck just doesnt exist (He lives in a faily low income neighborhood, which was a red flag.)

I spent about an hour or so doing several tests with the watch, like dipping it in water, listening for ticking, inspecting every inch for blurry font or misspellings, but I am no expert obviously.

Fixed above the 12 is what Im assuming is the serial number (116264) and below the 6 is another set of numbers (X41900). I really want to believe it's real, but if it's not, it's a damn good replica and I might just wear it anyway lol.

It's fake.

It's your call, but I recommend that you hit it with a hammer.

I'd also suggest that you get some other opinions before you do anything.

A visit to a AD or watchmaker may be in order, but I stand by my earler statement.

Just wondering, what makes you say it's a fake? Curious so I can look out for future counterfeits.

Put it back where he found it, it isn't worth keeping and maybe the original owner would want it back fake and all.

Pretty bad when I didn't even have to see the dial side pic to know it's fake. lol
