Get a 116710 instead maybe? Either LN or blnr. Get the complications and a bit of bling/pop from the bezel and pcl's. Nothing wrong with the polar however.

I cant quite comprehend why people take issue with seeing Submariners everywhere. It's everywhere because it's an amazing watch. I wouldn't flip my Submariner for one. Part of what makes the Submariner boring is what has also made it iconic and timeless.

I like the polar better than the sub date, but I like the sub better than the polar. YMMV, but the only sub dates I love are the PM, because they don't come without it,
