Tudor 79260 leather strap replacement options?

I've got a Tudor chronograph with the leather strap that is on a Tudor deployant.

The strap is 20mm x 16mm and appears to be a standard strap otherwise. It has holes in the long piece and the short piece looks like it could take a regular tang buckle.

Has anyone found a good aftermarket strap in 20mm x 16mm in calf leather?

I know there are custom options out there, but I was hoping to find something from usual suspects such as Hirsch, Di Model, Rios1931 etc.

Hoping for something in brown but black will work as well.

thanks
james

James,

Damn near impossible. First, the Tudor strap has an unusually short 6:00 side so the deployany clasp is centered. I haven't found any straps that come close to the same measurements. Second, most 20mm aftermarket straps only taper to 18mm at the buckle.

That's why custom is really the only true alternative. I went w/ real carbon fiber from K Straps.

Watchgecko has several options of 20mm that taper to 16mm in calf leather, in the handmade section. As DP points out, the 6 o'clock side may end being too long. But they are inexpensive so might be worth a shot. I have a couple that I use on my Black Bay with the deployant (22mm to 18mm) and they are very well made and extremely nice for the price.

Thanks for all of the replies. I spent a lot of time searching online this evening and couldn't find much.

However, Buellrider's suggestion has brought up at least 1 potential candidate and maybe 2.

This one is 20mm x 16mm and could work in brown. It's nice they give all the dimensions in one of their pictures.

This one also looks nice, but might be too thick with the padding to fit under the endlinks on the watch. Also, I'm not sure if it's 16mm at the buckle. I have emailed for confirmation.

Dan:
Thanks for the heads up on the length on the straps on the stock tudor strap. It's something I didn't consider. I'll have to measure up the current strap and the potential replacement to see if I can estimate where the buckle is going to end up. For what it's worth, the current strap setup has the buckle quite lopsided, so perhaps a standard strap will work better for me. I can always turn it the other way around to test for comfort as well.

Thanks
james
