42mm explorer ii on NATO?

Howdy! Any explorer ii owners out there with natos on them? Curious to see what they look like!

Nice! Where did you get it? I know crown and buckle carries 21mm natos...

What tool do you utilize for bracelet removal?

With the effort and the finishing that goes into all of Rolex's bracelets, I'm surprised people would want to ever take them off!

That being said, it's hard for that Explorer not to look good.

I agree. I prefer Rolex watches on the original bracelets. Nobody does bracelets like Rolex. They blend so perfectly with the cases and become an integral part of the watch. Omegas are a different story. I'm strap-crazy with my Speedmaster and find the original metal bracelet to be too bulky. NATOs, Zulus, leather straps, nylon straps - all great looks on a Speedmaster. But for me, a Rolex just screams out for the metal bracelet. Oyster or Jubilee, all classic Rolex looks.

I got it from cheapestnatorstraps.com for $7.95, very happy with the quailty. 22mm is perfect fit as there is no movement against the lugs.
Tool-less (used my hands) once you remove the spring bars from its original bracelet.
I get lots of compliments and its super comfortable to wear!

I would agree except for the Exp2 which is arguably the only model that looks great on Nato, Zulu probably because of the steel bezel.
The oyster bracelet is indeed also great, but it is rather heavy. I bike to work and it makes a huge difference with the Zulu.

Not a true NATO but I just put mine on this MN strap from Erikas Originals...I'm liking the look and the comfort.

This is the first time it's been off the bracelet since I got it 2 years ago...but I think I'll try a few NATOs now!

Awesomeness! I love the Erika straps as I had them on my Tudors.

Anyway I can see more shots on your watch of it? How about off your wrist?

I do agree that it's hard to beat the bracelet but I also feel that of all the ss sports Rolex the explorer II, especially the polar looks the best on an alternative strap. I saw a pic of one on a simple gray NATO on the web the other day that solidified this opinion for me.

Does anyone try and make a 22mm nato fit? Curious to see if it will "squeeze" in.
