Daytonas with oyster flex

I was recently told that the new Daytonas with oyster flex bands have solid end links which are actually part of the watch case itself. Unlike other end links with oyster bracelets which come out. Apparently this makes it so you can't install anything but oyster flex or some after market strap specifically for that end link. Is this true? Looking at pics this would mean you can't put new WG Daytona on a black leather strap
