Trade dilemma

I am looking to change up a watch or two and would like some opinions to see if im going at this with my head on straight .

I currently have only 2watches

1. 16600 SD4K
2. 16760 GMT "fat lady"

Im thinking of parting with the 1991 N serial 16600 Seadweller with nice creamy patina on hands plot Lume and bezel pearl , boxes ,tags, book, anchor, NO warranty paper.

I was thinking I would get an EXP 1 and a 14060 2 liner to replace the sea dweller !

Then I stumbled onto a possible trade for a milgauss Blk dial green crystal full kit and a TAG aquaracer both for my dweller !
I would sell the aquaracer right away hopefully for about $1000 and start looking for a 14060 2 liner which I would obviously have to put some money into n for !

I guess I'm asking if a pretty clean Blk dial green crystal full kit milgauss and 1000 is a good deal for my very clean 1991. N serial Seadweller ! And if the milgauss will wear similar to the 39mm explorer 1 ?

Not a good deal, IMHO.

Terrible trade.

The SD is an ascending reference in popularity and value...

The Milguass, while very cool, is a softer reference in terms of value.

The Tag is essentially unsaleable in the current market and is not worth considering as an acceptable trade component

That trade would be a hard pass for me. In my opinion, you already own a dream pair, and I would not consider selling either. The 16600 is a great watch that should only keep climbing in value now that the SD4K is discontinued, and the GMT is an absolute classic.

Save and add in your case.

I was out browsing yesterday and had two different watch retailers try to buy my 16600 off my wrist. One offered me a lnib 116234 with a factory diamond dial on a jubilee bracelet full kit and a huge breitling (don't remember what it was except it was 48mm and automatic). The other offered me 5 grand in cash and some diamonds for my wife. I declined both. People can't get these watches at a reasonable price right now. I wouldn't do it. I didn't do it. The first guy asked me how much I would take and I told him flat out it isn't for sale. I could have gotten a pretty penny, but the problem is I can't replace it for the same cost.

I also can't find a piece I'd be happy with for the dollars I'd get out of my SD. I know it's tempting though.

This.

I like the Milgauss and would certainly like to add one at some stage but I would not consider moving your SD for one. Not a chance. If you want it, save and add.

No way. I don't think you need to keep the SD if you don't like it but the trade isn't working out in your favor.

I would not move either of your pieces... You have a great pair and I would suggest just saving for whatever you want next... If you must flip... Flip them here to someone that knows what these are both historically and monetary. People here are more inclined to a fair trade I would imagine whether straight cash or watch + cash.

I was kinda leaning towards keeping both ! I put the Seadweller on for a couple hours last night and fell back in love ! Plus I enjoy the hunt and the buy so I'll look for a steal of a deal on a exp 1 and a 2 liner 14060 and then I'll have everything I want , except a SS daytona, but that's way down the road , maybe a retirement gift in 20 years ! Thanx for talking me off the ledge , I almost jumped !

I think the pieces you have are far nicer than the other combinations you mentioned.

I like the Milgauss, but much prefer the SD. You don't seem to really want the Milgauss either, so I'd definitely pass. Why not just save up for a 14060?
