Daytona Crown Noise

I have noticed that when unscrewing the 116520 and 116500LN Daytona’s crowns, there is a clicking noise. I know this is normal, but can someone explain how come only the Daytona’s crown makes this noise when unscrewing?

Does it have to do with the Chronograph function?

Not at all. They all will click when being unscrewed.

The crowns are independent tiny machines with a built-in springs and a one-way drive/ratchet. They can always ratchet in the CCW direction if there is any friction at all and it is not locked into the hand setting position. In the CW direction, they engage and drive the stem and appropriate gears. It is a completely different "click" that you hear when winding than it is when ratcheting.
