Ohhhhh.. I dont mind having a patek but...Its just a sin for me to trade in a WHITE GOLD DAYTONA over a Patek....no offense for Patek owners but a white gold daytona is a lot better looking than a Patek..by the way what kind of Patek is it??

I don't know Patek's that well, but just be happy no matter what you choose to do.
I personally can't imagine trading a WG Daytona for anything....! Much less 10K boot!

I think you're crazy--figuratively, of course.
It's your call, though. |

I just can't imagine any timepiece being worth a WG Daytona and 10K! But I am a newbie!

WG Daytona production is constant. You don't have to wait for one. The 5712/1A has traded as high as 54k at auction to a low ,now of about 31900. I see no upside in the WG Daytona, although beautiful it is by no means rare and is trading as low as 18k. There was a time not long ago that such a trade would be laughed at by any Patek owner. In addition the supply of the 5712/1a is, so far as i know , non existent , you still can't get one from an AD for list. |

MSRP for the 5712 in May was US30K. You're getting a good deal as these pieces increase in price soon as they walk out the door, and are high in demand with waiting lists more exclusive than Daytonas. Yes, it's a steel piece but the movement is exquisite and the uniqueness of the design is second to none.
I believe you're getting a good deal, but be sure to check out everything about the 5712 under a loupe, and of course, box and papers are a must. Good luck. I'm actually quite excited for you! |
