Don't screw around with the dials. I'd keep it the same. So you passed on the Bluesy?

I still have both in my possession now, leaning towards the Daytona. My friend gave me some time to check them both out, Got about a week to decide. I've already paid him for the Blue sub last week.

I'm sure that I am not in the majority on this.....

But, I think that the champagne dial is one of the worst dials anybody has ever come up with... There's no contrast, it's difficult to read, and it is visible from across the room as a gold plate... it is just plain ugly too.

Change it to a bitchin' black dial...

I'm with Larry in that I really dislike champagne dials. Go for the black.....though I also really like the TT with the white dial!

Hmm,
I guess I need to go back and look. Never thought it THAT bad. Just against messing around in changing dials etc. But if it looks that bad....?

Sorry for all the indecisiveness, This is my first Rolex purchase or technically I could call it my second.

I can see what Larry means (at least in photos) where the gold hands could get lost in the champagne dial. I have a watch with silver hands on the silver dial; wasn't a problem to see when I bought it, but something bad must be happening with it as it gets harder and harder to read without my glasses every year.

I bought my TT Daytona with the MOP white dial with gold Arabic numerals. IMHO the most beautiful dial without going over the top with diamonds etc. See my Avatar for an image.

I like this one the best, but $1,200 verses $100.00 for the Black dial is a lot of cash and I couldn't get a good price on the exotic I liked.

Black or white for sure, I am not a fan of the champagne I agree with the no contrast side of it and to me it looks a bit dated.

I currently have a TT white dial with gold outline sub dials and stick markers, and am loving it, but ...

I would like either:
  • a black dial with gold sub dials and diamond markers; OR
  • a gold dial with black sub dials and stick markers.

for me black dial on TT watch makes it look even darker. my favorite is white dial with TT Daytona and black dial with SS and WG models.
