GMT IIC size

Hi all,

I have a full size Yachtmaster, I haven't seen a GMTIIC in the flesh or tried one on. Is it much larger than my Y/M?

It's not the size that matters..........it's how you use it...

The Yachtmaster looks bigger because of that platinum bezel which is same color as nearly all the rest of the watch.

the gmt 11c with the bigger case does sit well on your wrist and is a great watch to have in your collection.

I love mine to bits and the ceramic bezel is FAB...

The GMT is a 40mm whilst the Yachtmaster is a 44mm or 40mm depending on model...thats correct isnt it?

Agreed.

The GMT C in steel is listed by Rolex as 40mm. Its case actually measures out to 41mm. The Lugs are about 3mm wider than the Yachtmasters lugs.

I love mine, very comfortable to wear.

Both models, GMT IIc and the Yachtmaster are listed as 40mm.
However, the supercase on ther GMT is larger than the regular case design of the Yachty.

Yatchmaster II is 43mm. The regular YM, the one in question here, is 40mm. You have a unisex and ladies YM too, at 35mm and 29mm...

GMT2c sits much larger then every other 40mm Rolex.. But the diametre is the same.

Thank you all for the great informtion

Thanks very much for the input, I like the watch a lot but as I say I haven't seen one. The Y/M looks fine on my wrist but my wrist isn't overly large so I was concerned about the GMT looking huge or not fitting my wrist well. This helps not that I will likely all over one just yet at leats not until the world settles down a little.

DRKBC:

If you get the opportunity to compare both watches side by side...........
Look at the two clasps very carefully. You'll make your decision right away !

Hi I/L,
I already own a T/T Yacht master white dial , which I love. But, I do really like the look of the GMT IIC and you are right the clasp on the Y/M does not compare but, I still like both watches very much. I wouldn't want to give up my Y/M but I would like to bring a GMT into my life. We will see ... as it sits currently, I have to write these emails while hiding in a dark in corner of my basement with a towel over me and my lap top or my wife and me would both be in the news and I wouldn't be in a position to be watching television. I don't think she would understand 2 Rolex's in one year.
