authentic rolex strap 19mm

I'm looking to change the band on one my rolexes to a leather strap. It's a 19mm and I was wondering if anyone in the forum has been able to get a real rolex strap from an AD and not aftermarket?

If all else fails, you could call SF RSC (415) 982-9830 and see if Giovanni can help you.

Rolexers do it with perpetual movements.

Any RSC can supply you with an original Rolex leather strap providing your watch was originally available with that option.

I got a quote from the Toronto RSC for a replacement strap for Nancy's Cellini a couple of years ago. $425 without the buckle. Just 2 bits of a dead alligator, a few stitches, and a Rolex logo stamped on the inside. Her watch now has a beautiful Hirsch alligator strap with the original buckle on it. For somewhat less than $425.

I'd never realized that Rolex alligators were worth that much more money than generic alligators. I guess they feed them special Rolex Alligator Chow or something.

The watch:

I've been toying with the idea of changing out the bracelet on my Air King 14000M with a leather strap but I'm not sure that the leather strap was offered with the 14000M. Do you guys know if that's at all possible -- request a 19mm strap for a model that doesn't come with a strap? I've also considered buying one in Hong Kong assuming that the ADs there are more lenient when it comes to accessories. Thoughts? For those of you who have managed to get a Rolex leather strap, does it feel worth it? I'm really fond of the Rolex crown buckle...
