What do you think of this Omega ?

After many Rolex , I would like to try a different brand.
I really like this omega speedmaster 38.
What do you think about it ?

Of the two models shown, the Speedmaster without the diamonds looks best. For some unexplained (or visual) reason, diamonds just don't belong on that particular timepiece. Probably because it is essentially a 'tool watch' with a rich pedigree and history of its own going back to the early space exploration days.

Certain Omegas look good, unfortunately these ones do not.

Gold or Diamonds do not look right on a speedy.

Just before this thread is moved to the Omega section. If you like it buy it & don't worry about other people's opinions ,as you will be the one wearing it , but it's definitely not one I would buy .

My speedy Tuesday is an instant favorite. It’s get amazing character and good looks, rich history and collectibility and omega is a fantastic company. Every time I’ve visit the omega boutique in NYC, either for shopping or service, I’m treated like royalty.

Visiing RSC NY kind of feels like somewhere between reporting to jury duty or being the one put on trial.

Doing business with omega is quite refreshing.

One without the diamonds look nice. Just don’t expect too much on resale.

I believe the new 38s are being targeted to women. They're certainly not as spartan as the original Professional Moonwatch variant.

Not a big fan of rose gold bezel only, if you're gonna do gold do the whole thing in gold.

I agree, the diamond version looks gaudy IMO

While I adore my Speedmaster, I’m not a fan of the 38’s. For me, a more traditional color scheme is the way to go.

issue for me is that Omega tends to over charge for their two-tone watches that barely have any gold in them anyways... pushers and a ring around the bezel i would not consider worth much of a premium but some of the current speedys with some gold are bonkers money.

I only like the original Speedmaster professional and the dark side of the moon. The ones above are not my cup of tea.
