I voted Platona because 1) I prefer sports watches and 2) prefer fluted bezels over smooth on DJ and DD.

Both absolutely fabulous watches and a very tough call but it would be(or should i say it is) the Platona for me.

It's tightened up a little, but the DD40 still holds a handsome lead. I'm a bit surprised.

Both are the good watches. I think the date complication is important to some of the people.

As Platinum Daytona Owner it surprises me to see it lags behind the Day Date

Both are very nice watches.
The Platona is just with the brown totalizers of the burner among the sport watches.
The DD in Platinum with the DIA sheet brings a lot of variety to the sporty Platona.Sie looks classically elegant and noble.

The DD with the waffle sheet, however, could be the degree between the sporty Platona and the elegant DD with the DIA dial.

I already have one of the two most ingenious crowns. The Platona :-)
For a long time I was sneaking around the DD in platinum ... but all of them really were only 80% fit for the Platona.
When I saw the DD DIA sheet, it had happened to me that I need a DD40 Platinum with the ice blue sheet.
Now I'm just looking for a matching DD in platinum ...: D

Does anyone have one left and travels to Europe more often?

Platona - for now such a cool looking watch!

DD down the road for the casual refined look.

Hard choice. If I had to go with one I’d say DD

DD40 Platinum. Platona is 12k more than the DD40 for no reason.

Very nice! Still waiting to this dial in person, but that is a great shot to tide me over.

I know they need to differentiate the PT from the WG models; but I think the ice blue touches are a perfect PT tip-off. If I am going to buy a DD, I want that fluted bezel.

Just had an AD pushing me for the PT with Romans that thing was a BEAST. I still would still prefer Olive Green Anniversary dial on the WG or RG; but the blue romans are ridiculous in person.

BTW voted Platona!
