1960's Omega
This watch has a great history: my grandfather acquired it in the mid to late 1960's and unfortunately passed away in a plane crash while wearing the watch. The watch was recovered from the crash and my grandmother kept it in a box for about 50 years. I'm a watch nut (duh), so when my mother found it among my grandmothers things a few years ago she gave it to me. The watch was incredibly in near mint condition and I have kept it pristine. It just got back from its 5 year service, enjoy!

Congrats on inheriting it, and carrying on a great tradition. I am now someone’s grandfather and have been keeping my 1960’s Omega in working order for the time it gets handed down.

That's a beautiful piece, congratulations!
I would have loved to have known more about my grandfathers watch, like where he acquired it, why, for how much etc. You are lucky to be able to pass down that history. I hope it lasts many generations. Pablo :). |
