I am looking to pick one up... not sure if I'm going with two-tone or all steel. I'm also looking at the strap options. Although I like the look of the rubber strap, it doesn't sit well on my wrist. Custom might be the way to go. I had the Cartier dealer measure the lugs and he came up with 23.5mm.

I have yet to see one in person, did you try on the bracelet version or just strap? How does this watch compare in size/feel compared to a sub?

I am in the same position. I love the design and the rubber strap option. Plus, the watch looks refreshing due to its honesty: It is a luxury watch that is a bit rugged. No unnecessary tool-watch marketing needed.

I love the look!

I did read a thread somewhere that the watch is actually hard to read because of the thin hands on a busy dial. I need to see it in person but I've been tempted to pull the trigger from a trusted seller for the right price.

Haven't see one in person, but I like the pictures, and what I've read on it.

I've had this watch in my hand a few time but didn't pull the trigger. I really wish that the Roman numerals were used on the entire dial rather than just the top half. If you do buy one do not pay retail (i.e. a Cartier boutique). They are readily available at a discount.

They are about $6500 on Jomashop and Swiss Luxury told me they will beat that....not bad for new with stickers in place and a warranty card (swiss luxury, not Jomashop)

I like the thinner profile, for a dive watch, but the big ass XII and multiple dates kills it for me.

I have one and I like it. It's a bit like Vman says a couple of posts up; it's a luxurious divers watch. The blue "sapphire" stone on the crown is a nice touch.

How has it held up? I will have my blue variant on Monday, I’m excited as this is my first Cartier. The watch looks very beautiful to my eye.

I

I own this watch and 3 things I do not like are the sword hands are so thin and the lume is non existent. It makes it very hard to tell the time in normal or night time. The third thing people don’t talk about is with the black version they used a paint over the steel bezel. It’s supposed to be some super paint that stronger then ceramic. They call it ADLC and it might be. But the bezel slopes Inwards for some reason and when you hit anything the paint on the bezel will Come off and you will see the steel underneath it. If the bezel was flat like the Rolex sub I don’t think you will have this issue. I have looked at many other preowned and notice the same issues. Chipping on the tip or rim of the bezel. I was told by cartier that the blue carrier de divers are now ceramic to solve this issue but as a guy who likes steel bands black was my only option. I hope this gives some of you thinking about the black model something to think about. As a 30 something year old I loved the look. The size at 42mm is spot on. But the bezel to me is the biggest drawback. If it was black under the ADLC bezel it wouldn’t be a issue but to have steel under it even the tiniest of chips you will see in the sun.

It’s a beautiful watch. Especially like the two tone versions.
