You buy the watch for yourself. If it feels and looks good to you that's all that matters. Don't be a sheep and think what others might think, think what you think and do decisions based on your own thoughts.

It has to feel right for you, while it is resting in your wrist... try it on... a few times... you will know if it is the right size for you!

This one has been growing on me... I saw one in the wild, at the airport in Chicago... then I tried one on at an AD... I will be adding the SS version to my collection...

Let the watch speak to you!

It’s a big watch so of course it’ll wear big. If you’re comfortable with it then that’s all that matters. I also have a 6.5” wrist and I haven’t tried on the skyd but I did try on a ym2 which is also 44mm and while it looked big, I loved it. If I was in the market for one I would have bought it. If you like how the skyd wears, get the watch!

Mine are 6.5-6.75 and I just about pull it off (well I hope so anyway since I’ve ordered a black dial!)

In these pictures the Sky Dweller looks too big for those wrists.

But wrist pics like that are not representative. Turning your wrist towards you to read the time/take the picture causes your wrist to appear thinner and, more importantly, close up pictures from mostly wide angle phone camera lenses give a false perspective.

Its practically impossible to give a fair opinion from that kind of picture.

That’s true. On wrist shot, it look big but from candid photos taken by another person afar, it look normal. For example,

Maybe try one on a strap, that might help. This one was very comfortable.

You know, size is not everything, shape matters as well :-) My wrist is flat-topped and the whole watch head sits perfectly. Lug-to-lug distance is roughly the same as the top part of my wrist, so no overhang!

Wow! That looks great. Really loved the WG with cream colored dial. The hue of the WG on something as big as the SD is pure beauty

It looks like it fits just right in the first photo. Second pic next to GMT it looks a tad large. You need to make the call about how it feels and looks to you. That’s what matters.

My wrist is 6.75”, as much as I wanted to like a SS blue dial, it was just massive in my wrist.

It’s a very tall model and top heavy.

Looks fine on my 6" wrist. Probably due to my pleasantly plump disposition.

I completely agree.
Photos taken further away give some perspective to the size of the watch. The traditional wrist shot is so close up that it doesn't give a good idea of how the watch looks in the real world.

Also, I'm curious how heavy the SS or TT SkyD is. I prefer watches with a bit of heft but I'd like to get an idea of how it compares to something like a DJ 41.

I don’t think you have much to worry about the large watch trend. First while this is a big Rolex, this isn’t that big a watch comparatively. Second I’ve been hearing about how big watches may go away for almost 20 years.

I don’t really like big watches and I would have no problem wearing a Sky Dweller

I think it looks great on a 6.75 in wrist. As long as the lugs don’t overhang your wrist. Granted, some APROO do and it still looks good!

Because of it's case shape the SkyD does not wear as big as one would expect from a 42mm watch.
It also sits more stable, less flopping around than my other Rolex watches.

Top down: Submariner > Deep sea > Sky dweller

It will fit perfectly on a wide range of wrist sizes
