Generally I prefer the new look but wouldn’t base my purchase decision on just this.

New one, less text on the dial is better imho.

I've been eyeing this watch as well. How good looking is it, especially at this price. And the size is perfect.

Yes, the size hits just right for a dress watch for me. 40mm would be a bit too big, and 36 a bit too small. Even at 38mm, watches like this with very little text can seem large.
