I would hope my kids want my watch collection for its sentimental values rather than monetary ones.

Nothing saddens me more than watching some episodes of the Storage Wars where the storage unit is filled with what appears to be someone's life-long collection of memorabilia. It always makes me wonder where the descendants have went.

I certain see your point. The only family I have left is my brother, and he has absolutely no interest in watches. I gifted him our Dad's 1954 Omega Seamaster which I had serviced, and never even see him wear it.

At this stage in my life, being almost 70 years old, I am seriously considering who to pass on my collection to. A rather daunting task, since I am so fond of watches. Of course, there is the fact that I am enjoying them while alive. But I really want to pass them along to someone who will appreciate them.

Cheers,
Carl
