From a Seiko service center? I’ve never had a Seiko serviced. Did it come back “good as new” as do Rolex?

Did you get the movement replaced? That is a cheaper option then paying to service the movement.

Yes it went to a Seiko service center. I just wanted the movement serviced. It wasn't polished but it was/in great shape
anyway.

It was serviced. I dropped it off at a Seiko dealer and they sent it off. I'm sure there is a mark up but Its worth it to me for convenience. It was less $$ than expected.

I love this watch!!!!

How much is a new movement installed?

The 7s26 use to cost around $46. Looks like like they are selling for around $65. So with the cost at 65 I would say the total would be around 100.

Would that include new seals gaskets and pressure test also? Shipping both ways? I paid $179 total and very happy.

It is according to who is doing the work. All I can tell you is the prices I charge.

But $179 is not to bad. And if you are happy that is all that matters.

I was just giving a different alternative if you every have to do it again. Some people believe that service cost is dictate by the price of the watch. And that is not true, it is based off parts and labor.

Enjoy a cool watch.

Thanks! If I had to do it again, I would do it exactly the same way.
