Best move you ever done ?

What has been the best move you ever done with rolex ?

Mine was keeping my 116520 paid retail for
And keeping my 5980/1R-001 that I paid retail for

Being one of few who was able to get the 116595RBOW with a pave dial from our AD! Worst move...letting the wife have it after paying for it!

Two things I suppose, the first, after many years of wanting one, was to eventually get a 2 year old white face Daytona in the summer of 2015, I paid the same as new retail at the time. The second purchase was in January 2016 when I got my 1996 16700 Pepsi, the prices had started to rise but I got it for £4300, it has turned out to be my favourite and it is my daily watch.

Awesome move!

Being an 80s man, growing up 5 digit sub is the quintessential Rolex/watch in general. The magical feel when it’s on the wrist is unexplainable.

Best move for me is waiting outside of watches of Switzerland 2 hours in the cold to secure their first BLRO allocation.

Yep, agreed! If it was the Black Lacquer Dial then I possibly would’ve retained it for myself. I did ask the AD if they could get me one but understand that supply is pretty much done

Best move with Rolex and then on to describe your Patek

All of my Rolex purchases have worked out fine. Hard to pick one but my Polar Explorer II for $2800 was pretty good

Getting a BLNR at retail just after all the madness started.

Trading in an Impulse purchase hublot for 5164 just before the madness. Lost 4k on the hublot in less than a week of ownership but got the 5164 for 28k, now worth 40k I believe.
