The clubs all come from Cleveland. Been with them for just over two years. If I had to pay for my own stuff I am not sure I would pay what they ask for these things.

Yea I know what you mean Daren. I play with a really cheap set of Ram clubs but they get the job done. I'm hopefully getting a TaylorMade R7 pretty soon. I also really want a Scotty Cameron Newport 2 but they definately aren't worth $300 big ones. Golf has gotten very expensive. The balls my dad and I use(Callaway HX Tour 56) are 40 bucks a dozen. Everything is outrageous.
Tyler P.S. Have you had any experience with the R7? I'm going to get it with the Aldila NV 65 stiff in it. My dad has that shaft in his Cleveland launcher and it's awesome.

Tyler you make some great points, but I often wonder why my students don't blink about putting down 5 bills for a driver and yet balk at 2 or 3 bille for a putter.
I think driving is important but the flat stick still gets the ball in the hole mate. Also to answer the other question, that NV is a great shaft, that is what I have in my Comp 460, but shafts are all personal and you should hit it before buying. Don't assume because it works for one that it will work for you. The R7 is very solid, but so are most all the big brands. It comes down to what looks good to you and what you think will put the ball in the short grass.

Thanks Daren. Since my dad has the NV in his driver I use it about 98% of the time because the shaft in mine isn't stiff enough. We would re-shaft mine but it's a fairly cheap driver any way so we thing it would be a waste of money. Also I agree on what you are saying. Sure 200 to 300 bucks for a putter really isn't cheap, but if you get a good one it should definately last long enough to get your money's worth out of it. My dad uses a old Spalding putter that is aobut 30 years old. He uses it because he likes it. That shows you that new equipment isn't really necesisary

Is that TT or all solid gold, Otto? The bracelet seems to show a TT effect, but I could be wrong?
Cheers and congrats on a superb acquisition, JJ
