A few days ago I bought a cheap little tripod, now I could use a f8 and any shutter speed I wanted... using a shutter delay allows no movement of the camera or tripod and I find that I can actually improve on the manual focus (even though it has very small steps, it is still stepped) by slightly moving the tripod or the subject. So I'll be working on the technical aspects now, lighting later, and I can hope I'm struck with some artistic talent after I have technique down. My camera is a 12.1 megapixel Canon PowerShot A650IS and I'm enjoying it.

The Daytona is without a doubt one of the most successful Rolex ever. No matter what anyone says, the watch is absolutely flawless.
That being said and out of the way, let me just add that this Alaskan beauty makes it look like, well, like a regular swiss chronograph. :p |

(I believe it may be plastic, and I would much prefer synthetic sapphire like Rolex) The Apollo hand for the sub dials and the RED "in your face" tachymetre hand are striking in their contrast to the stark of the white dial. The black 500 unit bezel looks almost vintage, overall it's hard to stop starring, I noticed a few eyes on the watch today from people that have never even noticed my Daytona... Anyway, I probably just have new watch syndrome... And of course Daytonas RULE... but, I think I'll wear the Alaska tomorrow too
