has the Orient Defended been updated?

Anyone know if the defender has been updated? I noticed it had a "new" icon next to it on their site. Sent them an email and waiting. Being that we now live in the instant gratification era, I need to know now so thought I would ask here lol

I have an older one

No quick date change is a pain. Maybe they fixed it. Otherwise, nice watch.

Here is the official response:

Thank you for the message.

Please note, there is nothing new about the Defender. If you look at the other models on our website, you will notice they will also have the same "NEW" icon next to the name since they are all fairly newer since we changed our website. Please let us know if you have any further questions!

Side note. I preemptively ordered one from amazon. Couldn’t pass it up at $130. Came via prime yesterday. The watch does have a quick date set now which is nice. Setting the day wasn’t bad cycling back and forth between midnight at 4am. Who knows if it’s good for the movement or not. The watch is running about +12 a day, but hey it’s a $130 watch. I prob could take it to local watch maker and have it regulated, but I bought this for camping trips and what not where I don’t need super accuracy. The bracelet is a bit on the cheap side but does look nice. The endlinks are flexible like a soda can and I had to play with their form to get rid of the bracelet rattle. End of the day this piece should be on a strap or nato. For $130 it’s pretty cool.
