GMT II (126710) clasp problem.
Hi all.
I have a GMT II (126710) I really do not like the clasp at all. It does not have Glidelock which IMHO is a huge mistake by Rolex. I also have a Sub date (116610). I love the clasp as it is so adjustable. Does anyone know if the clasp from 116610 would fit the bracelet (Now Jubilee) of the GMT II (126710). I am not bothered about the polished centre section at all because it is simple enough to get it polished if needs be. I am not worried about my watch becoming a Frankenwatch as i would always keep the original clasp just in case. So, Does anyone have any idea ?

I posted this question in the general area and it was answered.
I guess its a NO. I think I am going to part company with my GMT II I find the clasp just annoys me too much.

I personally think the glidelock clasp is unnecessary for the 126710. IMO it would be too large and “chunky” feeling. Now if Rolex develop a shorter/smaller glidelock clasp for the DJ and GMT references, I’d be in.
I’ll also add that I’d prefer it if the easy link had a 2 or 3mm adjustment instead of the 5 mm currently provided. I often find that 5mm is just too much. |

I much prefer the easy link to the glidelock, I have had both and found the glidelock too large and bulky

Apart from that it looks horrible, all you can see is a clasp. Easy link works like a charm for me, just a small nick on the bracelet and a perfect fit
