Reference encyclopedia?
Hi guys,
I would like to find a book / website with a complete encyclopedia of all major brands (Rolex, AP, PP, VC, Omega, IWC, etc..) with all their models and reference numbers (with pictures) for the past 50-70 years. It would be great if it showed pictures and talked about the differences (movement, bracelet, etc..) I would find it very useful when scouting a vintage piece on Chrono24 or other websites with thousands of listings. It is easy when talking about a Sub or an Explorer I, but it becomes more time consuming when trying to find a less popular (yet very well known watch). For example, I am looking for a Rolex Day-Date 36 in yellow gold and I would like to be more knowledgeable on the different references throughout history. Any ideas / recommendations? How do you guys go about this usually? Thanks! Tolo |
