Can’t seem to get a link unfortunately since it’s a private group. If you DM me a point of contact I’ll text/email the screenshots to you.

2015 PP 5711/1A blue dial box and paper sold for $87k on Loupe This. Talk about a hype watch coming back down to earth. That’s the lowest in the last 2 years.

Note that there is 10% buyer premium so ends up being like $96k. Still a huge drop from before but keep in mind buyers will likely factor the premium into their overall cost when bidding.

10% is already priced in. Click on “bid history”.

15400 blue dial fullset excellent condition. Listed for 42.5k (cheapest I’ve seen it). -750 without the box. Wouldn’t be surprised if you could negotiate below 40 here.

15450 white fullset offered for 28k

That is incorrect. $87,450 is inclusive of the 10% fee. Click on bidding history and you will see the top bid is $79,500, add the 10% and you are at 87k.

That's amazing. Can someone tell me how the clasp of the 5711/12 works? Simple fold or is that little flap a lock?? Does it have any adjustment?... If the prices are going to get into my striking distance I might consider them.

Post went up on Moda a little bit ago offering some kind of new selling service the creator is offering. Basically, it is to help dealers keep cash flow going and a direct result of the market continuing to come down.

Strange given all the posts on there about everything going back up and "to the moon".

Ah - I stand corrected. I didn't realize that as I thought it was added on top. Good to know / thanks for pointing that out guys.

Nothing is headed to the moon. Moda and these grays can play whatever game they like to extend cash flow, but the buck will stop and it will stop soon.

What’s the real reason most everyone on here cheer for Moda to fail? Really don’t know and truly curious.

Prices slump by up to 50% for discontinued Rolex watches (Watchpro)

They dream of getting that SS Daytona or SS GMT from a Rolex AD at retail without buying $100k in diamonds or other junk they don’t want. The grey market is an abomination to many in these forums.

I actually do not want it to fail. I like Moda and it provides the best prices on hard to get models (I have purchased from Moda and it was a great experience).

If however they did fail that means it is no longer profitable to flip watches (i.e., collectors can retake the hobby and get watches they want with no SA games).

The flap locks. There are two small ceramic balls built into the sides of the special link underneath. No adjustment.

This watch is well worn. Among other things it kissed a wall or sth with the bezel near 4 o'clock. It happens, but try to sell this watch to a dealer... Most people willing to spend loads for a 5711/1A will give this example a hard pass and spend some more for a mint example.

With 15450s trading at/below 30k, and 15400s/15500s trading in the low to mid 30s, royal oaks are getting very close to retail.

15510s in the low 30s sitting as well
Thanks for commenting on my other thread. I had no idea this thread actually was tracking transactions.

I've been following this thread for a while. While I agree there are elements of watch collecting that has been completely disrupted by resellers looking to maximize profitability and adding little interest to the actual hobby. Manipulating facts is one that we all don't like. However the fact is very likely that when the hot pieces get back to msrp priced or below, we will experience the same situation as we did in 2008/2009. Think of all the other assets, portfoilios, etc which values will likely decrease a LOT more than a timepiece which you don't own at the moment. Just my opinion.

Of course. Let me know if you’re looking for any particular refs in addition and I’ll keep an eye out.

The main price gains on hyped watches came for 2020-2022, some price gain came in the period from 2016-2019. before that msrp prices or lower where the standard.

So i don´t see how that makes it a "very likely fact" that we have to go back to a 2008-2009 situation to see prices go back to msrp or lower.

Of course you are entitled to have your own opinion, but stating, it as a "very likely fact" is a kind of manipulation as well.

Gold Daytona!

Poll the forum. If you have a $40k budget would you buy a AP in steel or a gold Daydate or Submariner?
This is exactly my most recent conundrum - deciding between a royal oak in steel or a Daytona in precious metal (have a steel Daytona bought 10 yrs ago). The altitude of the boutiques to buy a code or other models before they offer you a royal oak is absurd, but if you go grey I see most listings in mid 40s (I don’t check Moda). Basically I’m happy to pay like 10% over retail for convenience but any more you are talking about a steel sport watch that used to be 1/4 the price 15 yrs ago…

Anyone with MODA: can you share what a Patek 6119R goes for? Also, how about an AP 16202 BA, ST and/or PT?

Thank you for the assist.

Mint 2022 black dial full set 15500 listed yesterday for 38.5k still sitting. Noticed the seller originally listed it at 38k but bumped it 500 bucks after a few hours (is that allowed on Moda)?

In the comments seller is claiming these will be in the 40ks again soon (based on no evidence) lol.

I get the sense a lot of sellers are trying to pump up the market again (now that the economy hasn't fully tanked...yet) with a lot of "solds" within an hour of posting or yanking the price up again

Remains to be seen if that works. I feel like we've kinda hit a floor but it certainly hasn't gone up again
