Just picked mine up a few days ago. I must say I’m very impressed. I’ve owned subs and a dssd before and this could be the perfect combo. The new bracelet is amazing. That will be a major upgrade to the dssd.

I've also seen some other posts about the winding being louder and having a different feel with the SD43's 3235 movement vs the Sub's 3135 / other movements. Some attributed this to the new ball bearing automatic system. |

Mine is the same. And frankly I like the feel and sound over my GMT LN which provides little feedback until fully wound.

I read on another thread that Rubber B are hoping to produce a rubber strap for the SD43 by the end of the month. Would any of you guys be interested in that? Id definitely like to see how it looks

The oyster bracelet is just too perfect to swap for any other imo.

Thanks for the reply guys! sorry but i don't know how to quote all that replied in one thread just yet. hopefully all that replied to me see this as I appreciated the time you guys. Devildog you were right on. it appears to be that it was still substantially wound. I did a test and let it die down and have to say I was impressed with the movement. I took the watch off Thursday night, wore it for approximately 1 hour Saturday and 1-2 hours Sunday as both days we had fantastic weather and I had to drive to pick someone up and i figured i wanted to admire that dial in the sun; as we all know we secretly do at red lights and while stopped waiting in parking lots . , When i took the watch off i set it down face up. So by taking it off Thursday night and with only 2-3 hours of limited movement wear it did not stop until 9:36 pm last night. I wound the watch and it was a smooth wind. It took about 20 full turns of the crown until the hand started moving and after about 35 turns it got rough again to which i stopped.

I like Rubber B's and I bet it would look great. But I agree that the bracelet it comes with is perfect and I wouldn't swap it for anything else.

The movement in the SD43 not only has the 70 odd hour power reserve but the automatic winding mechanism is much more efficient/faster geared and achieves a full wind much more quickly than the older movements

I too am excited to see how it looks. I wonder if it will be like the deepsea with the rubber extending below the lugs or if it will be like the standard ones with no extension. I love the brushed oyster bracelet but I would imagine they are working on the bracelet with the red line such as how they have the blue and green lines for the GMT Master which I think would pop nicely with this SD43

I'm interested for sure. Had Rubber B straps previously and I'm very interested to see what they produce for the SD43

Just picked up from my AD on Friday. I really like the 43mm size compared to the DSSD and 40mm subs. I removed 2 full links and a half link, left the diver's extension in and the fit is perfect. Using the Twixt cell phone app it is running +1.2 per day over the course of 4 days.
Pictured with a 44mm PAM 24 and a 42mm AP Diver. |

How long does your lume last? I’m not sure if I’m not letting it ‘charge’ for long enough or I just have high expectations but my lume doesn’t seem to last very long at all.
On a side note, Rubber B release the rubber strap for the SD43 this month so I will be purchasing one of those. I think it will look great on a rubber strap Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Pulling the SD43 crown how many tries
Pulling the crown to position 2 or 3 on my SD43 sometimes takes multiple attempts. The behavior is similar to my GMT-IIC which I've had just a couple of weeks longer than the SD43. The crown on my Planet Ocean 43.5mm only occasionally requires a second attempt, doesn't seem as finicky.
Is this normal behavior for all Rolex movements? I'm a luxury watch newb and I only have the GMT-IIC and the SD43 to compare. Not a vast bank of knowledge. |

I'm really enjoying the pictures of the SD43.... Unfortunately haven't been able to track one down in the wild yet .......
It's going to be an expensive day if I ever chance across one at an AD! In the meantime thanks for sharing the images! |
