Depends on what wrist size you’re talking about. I have a 6.75” which swells to 7 during summer and the 7900v and now the 4000v look absolutely reasonable on the wrist.

Here’s my Oversea 7900V Dual Time… still my favorite in my collection, and the bracelet is just so good
Here is it on my 6.5” wrist. For me, the bracelet fits just right, the leather fits about right, but the rubber flares out. So, it also depends on what you’d like to wear.

I know there's been discussion about dial color and finish differences on blue VCs, but I didn't realize the silver dials are also different based on the year.
I saw these two in person the other day at a pre-owned watch dealer. The one on the left was a 2019 and had zero sunburst on it, with a more frosted silver look. The watch on the right was a 2023 and had a very sunburst look to it. The differences in person were much more apparent than even this photo shows. Subjective, but the older version looked nicer. Same with the blue dials. The pre-2021 dials are definitely more special. |

Thanks, very very interesting indeed to realize that also the silver dials, in addition to blu dials, registered this “drift” to sunburst.
I share your view, I also prefer the older versions, either of silver (that was more frosted than the current one) and of blu (that was more lacquered than the current one). I have heard that a bit of sunburst emerged also on black dials of the more recent DT and Chrono. If so, it seems that the 3 hands black dial is the only one still resisting with the fully lacquered version without any trace of sunburst … resulting to be one of the most pure, full strength and deepest black I have seen on a watch, and I really hope it doesn’t change Quote:

I also prefer the non-sunburst.
I have a black dial 7900V manufactured Aug 2021. I only found out it displays sunburst in the right light/angle about 6 months ago, it's quite difficult to replicate through. |

Interesting.
I have a 2022 DT in silver and the sunburst is what I absolutely love about the watch. The contrast of the very luminous dial with the ultra black contrast sharp hour markers and hands is what makes this watch special to me. |

Any 4520s out there... side wrist pics?
The new case profile and bracelet taper makes me like it more than RO.

I had the opportunity to compare an older 4500 blue with my 7900 blue. If interested take a look here: https://www.reddit.com/r/VacheronCon..._vs_2022_blue/ |

Agreed. I plan on upgrading my 4500V to a 4520V in the coming months. The new bracelet taper makes the piece feel more streamlined and modern to me. The case thickness is nearly imperceptible, I could not tell a difference when I tried the 4520V versus my 4500V Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Official vacheron overseas thread!!

Case flanks vs thickness mostly. Look like the inverted flare has been toned down and the lug sides are more downturned. Could be an illusion.

Interesting. I also knew that there are no differences between 45xx cases in both shapes and thickness (<.3 mm)

Should be 11.2 down to 10.69. So 0.51 mm officially.

Not a real issue, but as I recall on 4500 the official thickness is 11.0 mm , that’s why difference with 4520 results .3 mm.
That 11.0 was also shown on VC site (and it is actually still shown on the RG, only 4500 still on) |

Agree. Not saying it's an issue. The 3D view of the 4520 case looks a little different to my eye though. Side flanks.

Congrats! Really beautiful!
I hope that the wound in your wrist is not due to the 16:00 pusher … it lays exactly there ;-) |

Has anyone with a smaller wrist (6-6.5 inches) tried both the 4500V/4520V and 4600V? Wondering if 4600V fits better, but I haven’t had a chance to try it on yet. Also, not sure if the 4600V would also have the updated bracelet from 4520V. Thanks!

I'm slightly annoyed by the NYC boutique with my wait. Purchased a 1921 last April, got on the list for a blue Overseas late summer, referred 4 clients, two of whom have already bought (including my friend who got an Overseas black face dual time after 2 mos wait), put in my deposit two weeks ago, and they still have no idea when I might get one. Told me "could be another 6-9 months" which feels ridiculous if I've already been asked to submit a deposit. Trying hard not to just go pay exactly retail for a full unworn set on the secondary market. |

My understanding is that once you put the deposit down you’re really going to get the watch. Before that it’s a wish list. And then it’s just a function of when they get them. I think I may have remembered your other post where you originally wanted a different model but then changed your mind, but it then seemed pretty quick that you got to put that deposit down—which probably shows they are trying hard for you. For me I was told a similar range from deposit to watch but no guarantees on when. And then it was less than that — maybe in the 4ish month range. So I’d just wait it out, personally. I would rather have the 4520 than the 4500. And you’re not just waiting on the more amorphous wish list. |

Yes, you're correct, that was me. And, you're also right in that I should temper my annoyance quite a bit as admittedly they did get a panda chrono allocation for me very quickly (passed on it as it was just too big for my wrist). I think I let the potential excitement of getting the deposit link muddy how difficult it appears to still be to get one of the blue dial ones. I am on track according to my Rolex AD to get a yellow gold Daytona oysterflex by Xmas and was hoping to space out the purchases more for the sake of avoiding my wife's ire, but alas, here we are. Funny enough they offered me a blue dial tourbillon last week, but I'm not inclined to park ~120k on that one lol. Gorgeous watch though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
