116710 transition-Prototype

Hi Guys

I couldn’t help myself but come into this forum and get some advise as I had a meeting with an AD last week who had some very interesting pieces but one in particular stood out was a 116710 GMT ceramic prototype.
I was baffled as I was wearing my own GMT II and had to express my interest to what I saw. He has had the watch for over 12yrs but has asked me to not disclose his branch (Uk) and name.

However I hope the picture your about to see has the same impact as it did for me. I wanted to get an idea of how much would one offer on a unique piece like this. As he believes there is only 2 or 3 pieces in the world.

He goes onto say that he would auction this watch as it can only be appreciated by a collectors but would stair controversy now asnlike most pro types did in it day.

Can anyone help. Also has RSC paper and punch hole papers 😍 I would really appreciate your kind input.

Thank you. That’s high praise from someone with such a heavy hitting and varied collection.

Hey mate - I can say with 99.9% accuracy that the watch in the pic is NOT a prototype but a franken watch with red 24-hour hand and date wheel....if the seller really believes that it is a prototype, I have two bridges I'd like to sell him in San Fran and Brooklyn respectively...PM me for the details!

After trying most everything in the Rolex lineup, and recently selling off of quite a few over the past couple months......these Rolex have made the cut :)
I won’t say I’m done for good, but I’ve had up to 10-12 and down to 2, in a big variety of combinations, but these five cover everything I need. (For now)
Getting to this point was long and thought out over the last year because.....
In the last year, this happened..... retired, became empty nested, and moved into a new home. The collection changed a few times while trying to figure out this new way of life, and what will fit my life best now. Basically it’s a simple collection for a bit simpler lifestyle. No regrets, always enjoying the journey!
Love looking at the collections here!
Keep enjoying the hobby all!

Thank you, appreciate it! Had RG, it just matches my skin tone too much. I prefer a little contrast with my watches.

Haha, I have the same problem with RG. One of the reasons why I like it cause it will be less noticeable.

Mind blown. Beautiful collection. Which of these get the most wrist time, other than the Aquanaut?
