jdh,
CONGRATS, wear it in good health(yun palagi sabi mga kano, he he he)
480K, now that's really a nice and sweet deal, is it a V serial? I paid (mine) more than that 2 months ago
I'm eyeing on a PAM 111 or AP ROO Safari, but have let go a rollie or 2 to fund it.

TR, here's a translation. . . .

root word " bayan" meaning town/municipality

being kababayan in the Philippine context means belong to the same bayan, province, hence the english translation is townmate

when we go overseas however, it is used in a larger scale, instead of town, it now refers to the country. so when you say "mga kababayan" it means "fellow countrymen"

I hope this helps

TR, maybe you should start a thread calling all member from Indonesia.
Saya yakin banyak Indo yg jadi member disini. Jadi bisa 'ngrumpi' dalam bahasa sendiri.
BTW, tagalog banyak mirip nya dengan bahasa. Minimal kita bisa menebak mereka ngomong tentang masalah apa..........

Hmmm I'm alittle late for the thread, but I'm Pinoy, My family is from Ilocos Sur, but I was born and raised in NYC. It's funny because I have never been to the motherland but, been to a pretty good number of other locations through my life thus far.

Thanks bodybump and boyet! Nice collection jdH!

Boyet your GMTs are in immaculate condition. You might want to add the GMT Ceramic model to complete your GMT line-up. Tried it a couple of days ago in Lucerne and it is a beauty!

By the way nice pictures from the Sinulog Festival! Hoping to visit there sometime to get images from the festivities.

Another one from my collection of tool watches...

Nice shot Anthony, nice composition. Btw I have a very strong feeling you're into photography, are you not?
GMT Master IIc is quite nice I agree[he he he I got mine In HK last October, was looking for(all the way from Tsim Sha Tsui to mongkok ADs) a 16710 M serial and ended a ceramic, never did I regret]

Kabayang Oscar,
Sa tunog mo parang malaki ata prob mo, ano ba visa mo ngayon? Kase yung isang kabayan just said "dinamita"(highly explosive),bro I'm a bit curious

hahaha yeah, I get it from the family occasionally, to go back to the homeland, I was suppose to go for a wedding, but no one else was gonna go on the US side of the family. So I was pretty disappointed.

PS - Oscar your Arizona pics look great! I'm assuming no San Migs though?

LOL Yeah I agree Oscar is the pimp, my uncles always give me the same advice. "You want a happy marriage? Marry a Filipino girl."
