When the BLRO started arriving at dealers in May/June of 2018 DSW was the first reseller to post one up, $25Kish I believe.
Some poster here admitted that he was its buyer. Very simply he wanted to be the first kid on his block to have one and he could afford it. I waited 7 months for mine, also okay.

I'll be wrong if it sells over the weekend.

My theory is similar to others...it will trade at a high premium because there's no supply but a lot of demand. I'm sure it will stabilize at a lower price.

Buy what you like above all though.

Well what I noticed is that he has yet to list it here..

Maybe this thread had something to do with it. As far as DSW I have dealt with him probably 3-4 times and all have been great. He took one back that had a lume speck on the dial and we swapped for an entirely different model altogether. I look on his site for deals. He had a SDK on his site a few months back at 11,800 when everyone else was/still is in the teens. Good guy just trying to maximize his income. If you don’t like his price then look away is all I can tell you. I’m sure he has earned whatever gets him all the hard to get pieces.

SS models selling for the same as PMmodels is so absurd. This would be like Camrys selling for the same amount as Porsche 911s

It wouldn't surprised me if non watch people walk by a rolex dealer in the mall and see a bunch of empty trays, they might think they're going out of business lol.

I actually think this forum is alive again! This kind of hype has gotten me wanting to purchase a new SS sub or GMT, if I can wait 13 years (based on a different thread).

I meant no offence on his asking price or to the seller. To me.. David SW essentially sets the market price for whatever he lists.

I looked at DavidSW and Takuya’s Website last week and saw these prices. This is starting to feel like tulip mania from the 1600s.

But surely you would agree that they should be priced differently?

Valuable is being generous. I think the leech characterization is appropriate. Parasite would also be applicable. It seems to me that ultimately Grey’s take stock away from ADs and contribute greatly to the lack of product availability. The hate is deserved.

Bingo. In the new arrivals page, there is a BNIB RO 15500 for $31k and a 126610LV for $28k. $3k 'mArKeT pRiCe' difference vs $10k MSRP difference.

Rolex is on a speedwarp hypetrain. I wouldnt be surprised if Rolex pricing starts to overtake AP.

The price differential between AP/Rolex is narrowing each week especially when we start talking $35k+ watches. Might get a free upgrade to an AP ROC Rose Gold. LOL

This will simply enable AP to raise their prices. There will always be a spread between these two brands.

A new no date sub will soon buy a brand new top of the range Range Rover and a detached house in Mayfair in London.

The Rolex game has been this way for decades, nothing new. 16 pages of people bitching, and bashing David. Hell his is the cheapest 126610LV available right now. As usual he has the best price and service can't be topped. You want to be the first on the block with the newest reference you have to pay to play.

Perfectly said.
I’ve dealt with David, stand out guy. He’s feeding a demand, of the demand is not there the price will come down. Why do people take offence to what he is asking for it.

To much going on in the world right now to be moaning about a stand out forum member - people need to accept things have changed drastically in the last 18/24 months.

If you don’t like how ROLEX is doing things buy another brand simple - don’t be getting yourself worked up because you can’t have a watch that tells the time as the one you currently have on your wrist.

Relax

It’s more like buying an Audi A4 at RS4 prices. Same models, but one has more funk.

I am/was seriously considering a 116610LN as my third watch. But simply the hype of the moment turns me off. Can't see Rolex any longer as a sound purchase. Two watches will be good for the moment. Better to have something different, even cash or gold. I don't trust this situation and can't run behind grays raising prices by 500 Euros a week, let alone seeing prices of NOS Subs (of any year). I won't throw my hard earned money on this. Leave it to them to find their purchasers.. And I'd like to stay away from chrono24 all the same, I think they have their share in what is going on. Maybe I'll trade in one of my two, and that will be ok, no additions in the current market FOLLY!

Who wishes they would have pulled the trigger on an LV for $14,750 earlier this year. I debated and debated but didn't. Dumb of me.

It's funny.. whenever I saw an occasional Hulk here in NYC, my first thought was why the hell would that guy choose to buy a green watch for supposedly $10k+. Because this watch is ugly as hell, at least to my eyes.

I gotta say, Hulk is the time piece that I really don't get. I get the hype around Daytona. I get the hype around Patek Nautilus. I understand the desire for AP ROC in blue dial.

If someone gave me an "opportunity" to buy a Hulk at MSRP, sure I would take it. I would sell it the next morning, without wearing it once, though.
