Wow no one said the Explorer II huh? Where's the love?
I love the look of the Explorer II, ESPECIALLY the older 1655 models with the large orange hand. My personal favorite dial of all time from Rolex was the cream dial that was featured on the 16550 Explorer II for a short time in the 1980s. You don't see that shade of color dial anymore and it was very beautiful. Kinda ironic how Rolex never intended to produce that color of a dial since they had some faulty issues with the paint but it turned out to be one of the greatest looking dials to me. I also liked it because it wasn't common, its different from the dials seen all the time like black and blue. To me, the 1655 and the 16550 with the cream dial are two models that are the best looking.

I still drool at the beauty of this watch every time I see pictures of it. I nearly fainted when I actually got to handle one in person before! It was being sold for $9,500 at the time, not bad for this model.

Hope the Exp II gets a triplock crown too. Maybe in the next couple years...

To be honest, I'm kind of surprised that the Daytona is winning! I thought the Sub Date would by far.

I'm torn as I also have that model. I have always thought it looked so nice with the great colors. Below is an image of my current model. My new one makes me smile and I think it's actually going to take over as my fav. |

I say Daytona with GMTII-C at a distant second. I can't believe the 16610 is in second.

+1 You can spot one from across the room, and know for sure what you're looking at. I give a Pepsi GMT with Jubilee a very close second though! |

I voted Sub Date. This was tough for me though. Love the GMTIIc and my SS Plat yacht...
Need/want a Daytona - that could win it - if I could wear one for a bit. It is a very nice looking watch... I have a tough time choosing.
