it sounds like a good trade, i personaly only like watches that are made by the same manufacturer in and out. the panarai with panarai movement is a good trade for a rolex which only comes with a rolex movement since they stopped using zenith, but if it was the panarai with the glorified eta 6497/8 movement it would be bad trade.

It boils down to what smiles back at you. If the Daytona doesn't and the Pani does then that's your answer. You should own a watch that you will enjoy wearing. Just remember the Pani is more expensive. If you didn't wear the Daytona because of the price, would you wear the Pani? Just a thought. Good luck on your decision.

if it were me, and it was a straight-across trade, I'd go for it.

The daytona, while an awesome watch that I've wanted for a while, doesn't look as good on my wrist as the 233. The 233 has lots going on to keep it interesting: hidable GMT hand, date, neat little "moon window" showing AM/PM, small seconds hand, display back, 8 day power reserve, big domed crystal...

Hope you are trading for the Panerai because you like and will enjoy its look and functions ... not for the same reason you bought the SS Daytona - its rarity and resale value
