Do you have a pic of the BLNR on the rubber strap? Would love to see a pic of that!

Ding ding! I had an 11 series BLNR when my Jubilee BLRO arrived in 2018. I sold the BLNR three weeks later knowing I wouldn’t wear it anymore.

BLRO jubilee>BLRO Oyster. That is all. Sold my BLNR. BLRO on any bracelet is the ultimate GMT.

Batgirl > Batman >>>>>>> Pepsi jubilee > Pepsi oyster

Pepsi too pink and purple for me

Jubilee works a bit better for me with PCLs and large numbers on GMT bezel

Difficult one.

Keeping it to stainless, maybe:

BLRO O > BLRO J > BLNR J > BLNR O > VTNR O > VTNR J

I don’t expect to get any soon (or ever…).

BLRO Oyster > BLRO Jubilee > BLNR Oyster > BLNR Jubilee
It's very personal but I find the Jubilee bracelet too mature and bling for what is a daily sports watch. I think the Jubilee bracelets match better with Datejusts.

Completely agree with this. I was fortunate enough to purchase a BLRO on jubilee then bought an oyster bracelet from RSC NY a few months later. Obviously wasn't gonna turn down a BLRO allocation from my AD just because I preferred a different bracelet ;)

My preference would be the exact opposite to the OP.

BLNR Jub > BLNR Oys > BLRO Jub > BLRO Oys.

I don’t really like GMT II’s.

The function is wasted on me and just a distraction on the dial. The numbers are too large on the bezel and lack of symmetry annoys me.

But apart from that I love them

I currently have my BLRO on the Oyster but I think the second I finish typing this up I am going to switch it back to the Jubilee.

While debating like adults is fun, am not one to 'end' a debate here on TRF... tho was a master debater in high school.

The Rubber B blue strap brings out the fun side of Batman imho.

Though the 'knock-on' effect of the above is that the Sub was on black rubber... is now back on the bracelet.

That looks great on the blue rubber! I'm not one for pcl so my BLNR has been on an oyster from a sub with glidelock since day 1. The oyster that came on the watch is never worn and preserved in the box and I highly doubt it will go back on the watch.

I purchased the Oyster bracelet directly from the Rolex Service Center in NY on 5th Ave (owned and operated by Rolex, not associated with an AD). Was $1,900 plus tax, I had to bring in my BLRO, they sized and fitted the oyster bracelet on the spot, and gave me back the Jubilee. The front office rep also asked questions on why I wanted the oyster bracelet, where did I purchase my watch, and verified my ID. Given the current flipper market I totally understand and appreciate Rolex wanting to make sure I was purchasing the bracelet for myself.

From what I understand they won't let you go the other way right now, purchase a BLRO on Oyster and buy a Jubilee from an AD or Rolex RSC. That can obviously change based on whatever Rolex wants to do.

Everyone at the RSC was very friendly and helpful. There was a mother and baby in there as well, the staff was playing with the baby, was really cute.

CHNR > BLRO jubilee > BLNR Oyster

All others are a pass for me

(Edit: actually I'd throw in the black LN gmt that got discontinued as one of the best modern 6 digit ceramic gmt, and preferable to the blnr)

I don’t remember it that way at all. When the BLRO teaser video dropped a few days before Basel in March 2018, it was pretty obvious it was a blue/red bezel and that a “retro” Jubilee was part of the package. As soon as I saw it I considered that bracelet to be a major part of its image.
In many ways it could be argued that the SS BLRO started the hype era. The ceramic Daytona two years earlier only continued its already given hard to get status, the BLRO created instant wait lists worldwide. Of course there’s always some contrarians here but seemed like it immediately became the It watch here.
Funny too, it continues to be arguably one of the hardest watches to get from an AD despite a constant clamor from some folks saying they hate the bezel color/the bracelet, etc. Those people will never buy one anyway.

I definitely remember the uproar. Most wanted Oyster at the time but it was on the WG Pepsi only. I personally prefer the Pepsi on Oyster and remember how excited I, and others were, when it was finally released on Oyster.

My preference is BLRO on Oyster; I'm just not a Jubilee or BLNR person.

I recall as well and agree with Art of the Jubilee bracelet being part of the style. Of course debates happen here on TRF when Rolex releases a new ______ (surprise not surprised). Big plus is you can swap bracelets. The SS SkyD only came on Oyster initially, and thankfully we can add a Jubilee bracelet.

It would be wonderful if Rolex entered the rubber strap options market. Perhaps a progression from 'this is how we deliver it' to 'here is your beautiful timepiece, and we also have options if you desire to specialize / personalize it for your daily lifestyle / fashion / etc.

Rank the GMT II - BLRO & BLNR

Today, because I go back and forth, (I like both color ways) I’ll choose BLRO, on Jubilee. Jubilee on either, because it’s a bit more girly, and I’d be wearing it.

BLRO oyster or Jubilee. Have mine on Oyster and was fortunate to find a jubilee bracelet to swap it out.
