It looks really nice, I wouldn't mind getting one of these.

I have always been amazed by the quality of the finishing a Nardin. It's JLC level, and not far from Patek.

Some design details, however, have too much resemblance with other brands, like the grip of the Marine Torpilleur collection, which actually looks like a Breitling navitimer's bezel grip (and doesn't even turn! ) or the angled bezel of the GMT which, along with the thickness of the watch, really looks like a Panerai. Small resemblance which denotes a lack of thought-through case design effort, or a lack of particular character. A shame when so much effort had been put on the all the rest already.

There are exceptions, like the Freak which looks so unique.... mostly from the dial/movement aspect, because the rest of the case looks like an average swatch on steroid........

Their dials, hands, movement designs are exquisite. But their cases....it looks to me that their case design team hasn't found yet their way to express the true character of the Nardin brand.
And it's a pitty because these watches are so amazing, so special, so unique (not all of them).

It's only my opinion, but I'm looking at them closely. I like them a lot.

They make some amazing watches, of course. I think that their design language resonates with certain people more than others. As in art, there are some widely loved artists / composers, and there are some that are a bit more niche (but no less remarkable). At least that is how I view it. I would try to not let mass appeal or lack thereof weigh too heavily if I were considering such a remarkable piece. Best of luck whatever you decide! Addendum: I just realized this was a resurrected post. Assume the OP has decided by now.

Very innovative brand, with impressive mechanical achievements. Totally underrated for this.

On the other hand, it allows good prices. I flashed on the Freak X carbonium, and I had a good offer.
I do not regret. This is one of my favorite watches from the collection.
Not the watch seen and reviewed, that every man owns (don't worry, I also have Rolexes, not a negative comment, it's exclusive I mean).

Apart from the rest, it has its effect on those who know but also those who know nothing about it. Very impressive. A UFO on the wrist !
Impossible to get tired of it.

Awesome watches, but a bit too loud for my taste. If you like it- get it.

Not good for value retention but if you like it, then who cares! Only one I like is the Freak if I were to purchase one

I'm in love with their Classico 40mm cloisonné enamel line. I read that those enameling was done in-house. Hopefully 1 day...

Jeff Bezos' main watch is a UN... there are one or two pieces I thought about picking up; there seems to be some good deals on the secondary market

More complications than any other brand.
But several of them you scratch your head and ask why?

I assume the finish isn't as refined, when you can buy there tourbillion for $20-25k.

Having said that, I have only seen a handful in person, mostly vintage.

Great brand with some absolutely amazing complications - I encourage everyone to read about the Trilogy of Time pieces.

Owned many over the years but have now consolidated to three pieces.

Resurrecting a dead thread. I used to own a UN Maxi Marine Chronometer - that watch was stolen and I was devastated at the time.

Fast forward 15 years or so and I just picked up a Freak X Ti and I’m absolutely obsessed!

UN doesn’t have the same cache as other brands but I think they make great pieces. Also great value.

I picked up my Freak for almost 50% under MSRP. What a buy!!

I love my Rolexes, etc, but something about my latest pickup makes me very happy! Super unique, looks great, and wears great. Was concerned about 43mm being too large, but wears more like a 41mm.

It’s a 2022; looks brand new. Definite slider. No stickers, but in perfect shape - but yes; pre-owned.
