Bias, as I have a LN. I’ve never really liked the BLNR, but the BLNO that’s a different story.

So I presume you like the BLRO more than the LN?

Absolutely! I mean it’s just so iconic how could you not? The BLNR on oyster looks too similar to the LN to justify buying to me at least, because in RL in most lighting situations, you can barely tell them apart.

I like them both, and I prefer the GMT LN which is very versatile and goes with everything. The LN is definitely a keeper.

I love that the LN has ”GMT-MASTER II” in green matching the 24 hr hand. 12 years old and a keeper. I’ve brushed the bracelet, had it restored to PCL at the last service, and now on a Rubber B. I won’t sell it.

Agree. I had a jubilee for a time on my 16710, but IMHO the proportions are just odd with the maxi-case on a jubilee. I’m also hard on my watches and the Oyster bracelets have always held up better for me and haven’t stretched.

For me a gmt has to have a bi color bezel. LN is a good looking watch but doesn’t even come close to the blnr. Let’s not forget you couldn’t even give away the LN less than a year ago even during the SS shortage. Only reason it’s relevant today is because it’s discontinued.

Nice GMT mate. I love the touch of green on the black rubber; it’s so GMT LN!
Cheers.

The LN is undoubtedly a great piece, but the BLNR does the trick for me, LN seems really plain and i like variety, so ...I'm Batman.

I prefer a bit of color, the LN while still an amazing piece just falls flat for me

honestly i’m bored to tears by the LN. and i find that the BLNR is less attention-grabbing in person than it is in photos.

i could have bought the LN when i bought my batman. i’m glad i bought the BLNR as my first rolex and i’ve never questioned it. subs have black bezels. seadwellers have black bezels. now even daytonas have black bezels.

each to their own of course. but i’ve never been even close to interested in the LN.

Agree.

Wish the BLNR and BLRO had colored text that matched the 24 hour GMT hand.

I Purchased the LN a couple of years ago when the BLNR was a lot easier to get.
Have never regretted the decision. The LN is the better looking of the GMT imo

I’m bias as I own and love the BLNR. When I see the LN I feel it’s lacking in personality I would get a sub if I didn’t want colour on my bezel. All personal preference of course!

I prefer the 116710BLNR over the 116710LN because of its intuitive blue and black bezel.

All GMT watches should have two-tone bezels.

My first ceramic was the LN, so that’s where my allegiance lies.

I owned the BLNR but it just didn’t sing to me and I moved it on after about a year.

Yup. Had the LN twice, never stayed around too long. Looking forward to giving it another shot but on a jubilee this time. Lets see how it goes.

I have BLRO, BLNR Oyster and LN.
I have to sell one to fund a blue SkyDweller.
As I have a collection including a SD4K, I‘ll sell the LN.
BLNR on Oyster isn‘t as flashy as in real live then on photos. All 3 Gmts are great, but I think a gmt needs a colored bezel. Black is for their diving watches.

I'm pleasantly surprised how the tide has returned to the LN. A pity it had to go obsolete to swing it back.

I always prefered the LN, and have had one for around ten years. I've never liked blue on a watch. Always less interesting than green or orange highlights.

I've always like both, but very surprised so much support for the LN on Oyster. I feel like when it was for sale it was looked over for the BLNR here in almost every post. It seems the LNs for GMTs and Sub Dates aren't so appreciated until they're discontinued. The forum loves to fawn over color... and "presence"
