It is DavidSW's DNA code in a QR code.

What is best a custom Rolex or a Rolex that is stuck in custom?

I don’t recall the stickers from the ones purchased from my AD bc they remove them in real time. Thanks!
My 116520 also has similar barcode+sticker on

What "sensitive information"? Will it include the dude's name that ran the machine that assembled it? LOL

Assuming the OP is getting the card (and he will with DavidSW). The code isn't going to reveal any more information.

It's probably just the SN (or a unique ID corresponding to the SN) and small amounts of other information. It would be quite laborious to manually key in SNs and also subject to entry error.

Of course he’s going to treat you well… he already rips you off making you pay extra while also having a responsability in creating a shortage… and people rave about him? The man is a (evil) genius. the least he can do is smile (if he doesn’t do it for you, he might smile at the cash adding up in the bank account).

Not sure why some people hate Grey dealers. People sell to him, Rolex makes it difficult, some AD’s might be selling under table to him and others?

What he is selling based on scarcity at AD’s/Rolex but we consumers create hype so that’s what happens

i got a watch recently for not much more over MRSp + tax. I am a VIP at my AD ( got me 3 /4 years popular Rolex with no major wait, etc. But this time for a special accomplishment my AD couldn’t provide and they were very very sorry that they couldn’t get one on time. So bought from David and as said actually quite reasonable for this particular Rolex Model that is still hard to find an AD and they weren’t a year ago. so there it is. But it’s everyone’s free world.

I got a great price on my planet ocean from him. Rolex is hot right now. Pricing reflects that. No one is making people pay market price. It's the invisible hand.

If there were mandated price controls they would be even more unobtainable (just like at the AD).

I'd rather live with jealousy than hunger so I'm a fan of free markets.

No need to hate on David. He’s just a squirrel trying to get a nut, lol. If he didn’t do it, someone else would. Rolex can stop this total nonsense anytime they want, but they obviously don’t want to.

I have bought a number of Rolexes from DSW and have only paid a premium (hard to get model) once. But, that was my choice, my decision. If I factor in all the below MSRP deals plus the sales taxes avoided over the years I've done business with him I'm still well ahead of the game overall so no complaints from me.

And......please be aware that we, the buyer, do not know what a dealer like DSW actually paid for the watch being sold. He might have bought it at/below MSRP from an AD or perhaps he paid a premium himself to another gray dealer.

Don't get me wrong, I get just as annoyed as anyone over the high prices but have to accept that I don't know all the facts behind the deal.

Need help — DavidSW watch

I agree with the people saying no need to worry, and no need to hate DSW.

But the only way Rolex could stop secondary market price growth is a 5x increase in production along with a 50% reduction in whole sale price to ADs & MSRP. And do so for 5 years along with new registration processes to void transferable warranties.

The cost would be high and not worth the effort even if they could hire five times the number of watchmakers and other professionals in the integrated supply chain.

Plus the public reaction would be really poor.

I remember when David was selling a BNIB 116610LV and 116710BLNR for 10% or more off MSRP. So can't say it's fair to only look to the one side. Honestly the reselling game blame should be placed on sellers that list watches for sale that aren't in stock, not those that actually stock the watches. They can charge whatever they want. Now if you're discussing secondary pricing and initial price setting of new release models that is a little more grey no pun intended

For what it's worth I'd personally buy from David before many others. A real brick and mortar is a positive in my book, at least with high end watches.

You inspected enough to see the barcode (circled in blue) but not enough to see the pull tab to take the sticker off (circled in red)!?

It’s a hidden camera. Do not, under any circumstances, shower while wearing your watch.

Agreed. Probably should put some black tape over it.

His prices are clearly stated, his customer service is excellent, he doesn't make empty promises, and he delivers products that are exactly as described. You're paying a premium price for a premium product and premium service. I don't see how that is getting ripped off when you know exactly what you are getting into and you get exactly what is advertised.

Can someone here explain how a secondary seller like DSW or other trusted sellers ensures their watches are authentic? Especially their pre owned pieces that are coming in from people other than AD's. Do they open every caseback up? Because you can have tons of experience looking at watches, but if the case and bracelet are legit, but the inner movement isn't it would seem that would be the only way to know right?

I am curious as well. And unless I am mistaken, the caseback being opened by anybody but RSC voids the warranty. Not sure how they’d know but....

All that aside, I have bought from and sold to David many times. First class!

There are a few other ways to tell. Mainly time keeping. Chronograph with column wheel such as the Daytona is pretty easy to tell by using the function. Assuming you have a lot of experience. A few additional I won’t mention.
