I will say.. it’s kind of a pain to set if you’re a couple weeks off. You gotta go around manually to do it. Wish it had a quick set date.
But what you mentioned is fine, makes sense to me.
(Hoping someone says I’m an idiot and it does have it and I just don’t know how)

I think the way Omega implements the subdials on the Speedy where all the numbers are aligned the same way is more legible.

What I noticed is that you can use the pusher on the side of the case to easily set the date.

Agree with the post above....^^^

There no wrong answer regarding Which Aquanaut? 5167a, 5167r or 5164a

I prefer the steel, it more carefree compare to the gold...

As for 67 or 64.... I pick the 67 because the less the better meaning clean highly legible dial, so slim and light on the wrist....

Cheers,

From the new pictures that you post, it look better...

Just make sure the lugs is not hanging out of your wrist...

Good luck with your purchase...

BTW what size is your wrist...??

Cheers,

If that’s available to you, do it. Once the strap is fit it’ll fit you better.
Could be a while before they can give you a 67r.
If neither are available to you and you gotta buy secondary market, that’s tougher.. I’d prob rather have the 68 because it’s bigger and I too am used to offshores and stuff.
But again, if you can buy that at retail, box it up!

Or shd I stick with a SS like 5167a or 5164a coz SS are more popular? Betw these 2 I prefer the 5164a coz it’s thicker.

Thanks all for your comments and advice!
Nautilus ? Steel !
Daytona ? Steel !
Royal Oak ? Steel!

Less sought after pieces like a submariner, speedmaster, Breguet XX, Blancpain 50 fathoms, GP Laureato, IWC Ingenieur, .... There is a reason why these are almost always in steel

So obviously the Aquanaut also in steel

That kind of sports watch needs to be in steel, leave gold for dress watches

I know right.. but I don’t find the 5167a and 5164a appealing even though they are great watches.. it just looks kinda dull to me, especially when it fades to grey in the light.

For a 16.5cm wrist is definitely to big for your wrist...

I re-look at your three pictures and think it don't look appropriated... Because it look like the lugs is hanging out of your wrist, even if it were to be size properly...

That just my opinion.....

If you feel comfortable and like it, that all it matter.....

Good luck with your choice...

Cheers,

Always had a soft spot for the 5167a...Classic timeless model.

I went this direction. I love the travel time complication - use it often.

Either way you're getting a wonderful piece that will get wrist time more often than you think

Tried to capture the blue Patek strap

I have the 5167r - if I could go back in time I would probably go for the stainless steel option due to the scratch factor etc. However the rose gold/brown combo in my opinion is absolutely beautiful to look at
