Check the FAQs....I think they mentioned only buyers of the watches would be considered prior customers.

Ming 17.09 Announcement

Only applies to April 16 and those watches will get delivered in 2022. But you only have to pay 1/2 deposit on 4/16 vs. 100% for the order if you place it on 4/15 for Fall 2021 delivery.

It does not, they state that straps and bracelets do not count.

Good-looking watches. Burgundy would be my choice between the two:

Agreed -

So who's in? Who's going to take the plunge and which color are you opting for? I personally am going to give them a whirl - Burgundy for me.

The piece is very intriguing. I've never held or handled a Ming but have heard nothing but positive reviews. The case size and design as well as the dial are very interesting.

Any info on whether solid or display caseback? Wish there were pictures of the backside.

Anyone know roughly how the import duties/taxes would be? I know price wise it is roughly $2100 and change but wanted to see how much the full cost would be

Solid offering but I would only buy to flip and that is not right so won't be a buyer.

Ming is evidently keeping flippers from buying future models so that would likely be a one time thing. Who knows what they have in the pipeline so as a collector I would think buying to flip to get banned is a risky proposition.

I personally really like the watch so I am all in for my own personal collection. Not sure which color yet.

Well today's attempt to get in on the first part of the release was a bust. Had it in the cart but then when I needed to go to the next step it was listed as Sold Out. Frustrating! Seems like they sold out in less than a minute.

Not saying this couldn't be true but we are talking 600 total watches worldwide. This particular model was featured on monochrome and other outlets so it selling out so quickly doesn't actually surprise me much.

For tomorrow though isn't it anyone that places the other within the 10 minute period will get a watch. I cant even imagine how many pieces will sell tomorrow. Def. in the thousands (not 10Ks or above)

Managed to catch the burgundy one. I also had a lot of information ready to quickly cut and paste in. I got nervous when it made my bank send me a text message, but managed to get through it. Was all done and my clock still said 9:01, so certainly a quick one. Definitely an adrenaline rush!

Gotta say, this was the one release I was really waiting for. I love the design language, but really wanted something fairly thin but water resistant and with a quickset hour hand for travel. This one fit the bill well.

Same here I tried to buy one at 14:10 UK time it was already sold out.

I spend my time frustrated with waiting list, wish list, too late to buy 10 minutes after they open, or looking at stratospheric grey prices.

Not sure collecting watches is for me anymore...
