Never finished, paused several times over the years though.

I'm content but don't ever see there being an end to the journey.

The last Rolex I added was in the fall of 2019 and I'm happy. Nothing about the current lineup or market excites me. I'm likely done with Rolex.

These threads pop up on the bass forum and it's always satisfying knowing my stable of basses have been complete for over a decade.

My Rolex journey was finished by 2003 w/ the acquisition of my 16710.

Tudors have been perfectly scratching my itch ever since.

I know myself well enough to never proclaim that I’m finished but there is currently no Rolex (or other watch for that matter) in inventory or not that I want to wear more than my SD4K. That is the test, not if I like it, not if I want it, but will I wear it in place of what I already have. There are no current objects of desire but I’ve been through this before.

I frequently think I have a perfect watch collection, but maybe once a year I change a bunch of stuff up with trades and resets my need for new/different/more pieces.

It’s okay. It’s the process that’s fun - not some ideal end point.

Started collecting 17 years ago, first Rolex was a DJ 12 years ago. Picked up the BLNR 6 years ago, Explorer in 2021, and Daytona in 2022. I haven’t had an extended period of time that I wasn’t considering another Rolex, so this feeling is new.

But everyone is right, who knows. Maybe in a few years I’ll want something again. Mostly been looking at Patek (I have a 6119R) and now AP. In general very happy and content with my collection

When I told my AD that my next watch was to be a BLRO. Apparently my collecting is effectively over.

I am currently waiting for a Tudor pink chrono, have all the Rolex I want right now. That could change with new releases…or not.

When did you finish your Rolex journey?

Switched trains.

Now going after discontinued references and other brands.

I have been very turned off by the AD “consolidation” of revoking AD franchises. I have a 218248 DD40, a 116718 green dial GMT-II and a 126622 stainless Yacht-Master. The ability to get new Rolexes, is effectively gone for me. My last three purchases have been Cartier, last two for my wife also Cartier. There are other choices.l

My sentiments exactly. My AD lost Rolex last month and I am not willing to start from scratch with a new AD. I will enjoy my current Rolex’s but see other brands in my future. My current collection already includes watches from 6-7 different manufacturers.

Pretty much done after getting my AK early 2024 after a 4 year hiatus with SD43. I do believe the urge to get another is getting further and further away, especially with the current iterations and scarcities, or what not.
I am pretty contented with 4 pieces, it seems.
