Newer green is slightly lighter

I think the model in your pic is the Mk2 newer version

I am on the list for this - my AD rep refers to it as "M126610LV-0002" so the MK1/MK2 thing is 100% real.

Personally I prefer the darker gem like bezel of the MK1.. if I had to go grey I would do that and bonus its a few $ cheaper.

100%

This watch is a 126610LV
Starbucks doesn't make it or sell it.

Batman and Batgirl do not make Rolex watches either nor do Smufs etc etc etc

Feck I want one - due to rep turnover I've been waiting 4 years (requested the day it was announced) - working with new rep since start of 2024, hoping he comes through but who knows.

On iPhone if I adjust this with -100 warmth and +100 tint (to get a reasonable skin colour) then I can convince myself that this is the newer green bezel.

This is not true. Rolex released a statement when the mk2 was released at Watches and Wonders 2 years ago saying that the bezel had been updated for the 70th anniversary of the Submariner.

I wouldn't kick either out of bed but I honestly think I prefer MK1 to MK2. I know I'm in the minority on that. MK1 has a cooler hue (in the spectrum sense) which I prefer to the warmer hue of the MK2. It's a little less in your face, a little more mysterious. And if "short production runs" do anything for you, it's obviously going to fit that bill.

You are a real magician! I did the same thing, and it's really MK2.

Ask him for production date.

Maybe it’s a new MK3 variant.

Mk1 MK2 it's all good, it's a nice watch and that's what count.
Enjoy it

If it's new from an AD, shouldn't it be the latest Starbucks? Therefore the MK2, if there is such a thing?

This isn’t the 1990s, where there were inconsistencies in manufacturing, even if current production happens in three different factories. Modern manufacturing is all about precision and consistency across the assembly line.

I went to my AD just after W&W 2023, and the manager confirmed and showed me their training brochure for that year, where Rolex detailed the bezel colour change. Think of it like a car facelift—it’s done a couple of years before a complete redesign to generate publicity and excitement. For example, the S-Class introduced in 2014 had a facelift in 2018 and was discontinued in 2020-21, but it retained the same platform number (W222).

Completely agree.
Me personally? Love the MK1.

I totally agree. I don't know about ruining the experience, but cartoons and pop culture products cheapen the reference to a high end timepiece.

I believe the darker green bezel is the MK1 and the lighter green close to the original LV bezel is the MK2 or current one. Op, your picture looks like the MK1 version but it could be the light, not clear enough even with the other pictures.

There was a month last year 2023 when they started shipping the MK2 bezel, some on here may know what month? not sure when exactly.

Ask the AD he or she should be able to tell you which one it is? I like the darker one but I would also except the lighter version MK2.

Cheers,

Is this an official AD or a secondary market dealer? If it’s an official AD/boutique and not a CPO watch, then it’s most likely a 99.99% chance that it's an MK2 bezel.

What’s stopping you from going to see the watch in person?

Yes, it’s an AD, as I truly understand. Personally, unfortunately, it doesn't work out in any way, since I live in another country. I eventually agreed, paid 15€, and the watch is on the way. Whether it's MK1 or MK2, I'll still love any of the options. In a week will show more pics on me.

Ok, so it’s from their pre owned or CPO inventory then. Is the warranty card not dated, or does it not come with its original warranty card?

Congratulations

What you mean «pre owned or CPO inventory»?
Yes, sure, official warranty card with August 24 date.

You mentioned you paid £15000 for it, right? Since the MSRP for the Starbucks is around €9500, it seems like you paid a premium, which typically indicates it's from the secondary market, either a gray dealer, pre-owned, or a Rolex Certified Pre-Owned. If it were brand new from an official Rolex channel, the price would have been closer to €9500.
