For now no question the Chnr is hot due to it's new introduction of the year.

However after a few years, especially after the bluesy gets an upgrade, I believe it will be more popular.

personally I like the bluesy more and consider it a prettier TT than the Chnr. Part of the reason is I like the full RG CHNR a lot more. Same thing can't be said to the full YG bluesy.

According to three ADs I have a relationship with the previous root beer was overall not a hot mover for any of them.

Given, by comparison (to blues, blacks, whites), not really a lot of browns happening in the watch world. Which tells me other marketing research doesn’t point to brown being a hot color. Yes, for sure that is an assumption.

When the Tudor bronze was released they were tough to get, now they are plentiful, seems like the demand was fulfilled by a relatively small subset of WISer types.

Again, just my opinions.

Blue is a better color for a dive watch than brown all day every day

I have to go with the CHNR, there is just something more warmer about the look. The bluesy is so classy but the I think the CHNR edges it out. Also, there seems to be a trend more to rose gold than YG. Happy Hunting :+)

Root beer is lame in my opinion. Lowest on the soda totem pole maybe above ginger ale.

The Bluesy is blue--shimmering, iridescent, royal, ever-changing BLUE.

The root beer is ... brown.

Don't forget: CHNR has the 3285 movement also(70HR power reserve like BLRO)

CHNR all the way for me; rose gold with the brown is just so cohesive.

Char would be my choice. I like the more subtle rose gold and really love the dial and bezel combo together.

Probably why they had the wisdom to make the CHNR a GMT

The only Rolex I wanted to buy when I saved up for my first Rolex was the Bluesy. That was it, nothing else would do. So, I saved and I saved and then I had enough and went to the AD with a pocket full of money ready to by the Bluesy.

It looked horrific on me. Obscene. I was devastated. The AD (who I never done business with before) allowed me to try on every watch. Finally, the BLNR (yes they had one in 2014 for sale) sang to me. It looked amazing on my wrist. Bought it and never looked back.

Second watch was going to be the black and yellow two tone Sub. Same drill. Saved, worked hard, saved more and had enough so I went back to AD - 1 year to the date after I bought the BLNR. This time it was a close call, but ultimately decided on the Hulk over the two tone Sub. The Hulk was special - the color is so unique and makes me feel so special every time I wear it.

But, I still had the itch for the gold - I guess I'm a leprechaun. Took me a little longer to save. Every time I would save enough, something came up. House needed new roof, A/C went out, and then my dad got sick and needed to support him and my mom as my dad couldn't work.

Well, a few weeks ago I finally saved enough and had enough courage to walk into AD (I hate wasting people's time, so I rarely stop at ADs to "look" - especially my AD because they have been so good to me).

This time, I walked out with the GMT black and yellow gold. Doesn't get much attention here on the forum, but it sings to me. Actually was nervous to wear it, I would take it out of the box when I would get home and relax, and wear it around the house. But today, I put it on for the first time. It felt amazing. The little extra "heft" makes it so damn cool. I am so grateful for everything in my life.

My advice to you is go and try on every single Rolex you can afford before you make your decision. You may be surprised at which watch will say "this is the one." You are not too old or too young for a two tone. All of the Rolex two tones are stunning and I highly recommend owing one. Don't buy by looking at pictures only - the do not tell the full story about how the watch will work with your skin tone, wrist size, etc.

I actually got the call for the first CHNR my AD received. I was on vacation, but when I came home, I tried it on and decided to pass on it. It didn't work with my skin. Once you try the watches that you like on your wrist, the decision will be simple and easy.

Just my two cents.

If you're young, the blue is just a fun, vibrant color. I think it will catch the eye of others in your age range as well. Not saying the CHNR is not great looking, it just not may be your "lucky" watch like the bluesy. 2 cents for a lifestyle choice. You really can't go wrong with either from a watch perspective.

Not to offend anyone, but the bluesy looks like an old guy's watch. That root beer is incredible, so I vote RB

I have never owned a bluesy but know a couple of people who have them. I opted for the CHNR as it was ever so slightly more subtle. Both watches are great but for me the GMT is the best TT watch Rolex have on offer at the minute.

Bluesy. Brown watches are not my thing.

But what does age have to do with TT watches?

Only older people can wear them? That makes no sense.

I think that sounds like the best plan. You know, we could sit and debate which is the best watch all day, but in reality, it's what you like that matters.

I actually had a similar experience recently...I was picking up my CHNR and tried on a steel DJ41 with the Wimbledon dial. Never really did much for me in pics, but man, in the flesh...wow. If I hadn't of already committed to the CHNR, that would have come home with me.

I’d opt for the sub due to resale. If you get it, you’ll have little trouble selling it. The root beer right now sells well but I believe that’s because it’s new and scarce.
