For me it's not the size per se it's the disproportionate aspects of the size. The 43mm case but the dial is the same size if not smaller than a Sub. The bracelet does not match the head imo and the main problem I have with it as far as size goes is the thickness of the watch which in some pics looks almost comical and seems completely impractical. I'm not sure of the dimensions of the PO and various Pams but they don't appear to be as thick as the DSSD.

As someone here said the negatives outweigh the positives for me.

Good information... It really illustrates the difference(s) in the two. Better than isolated wrist shots, etc... Yep, she's a monster but remember, it's a tool not a jewel!

To answer a previous question, the dial is very glossy.

Also an interesting tidbit is that the booklet that comes with the Deepsea is a Submariner brochure that doesn't even mention the Deepsea in it.

Happy to share the pics with you all. I had seen several Deepsea pictures by itself but I thought showing it next to a Sub would give a good idea of the proportions of the watch. Glad you all enjoyed them!

Watch looks great. Still don't like the writing on the ring lock. Am curious to see how the bracelet looks in the flesh - the head is balanced, but every pic I've seen makes the bracelet look a little too narrow for the watch.

The bracelet is far too narrow and it is ridiculous imho that Rolex did not bother changing the bracelet width.The thickness of the watch is very similar to the Breitling Chronomat but the latter is far more proportioned.Design wise it just doesnt look right to me.Seeing the pics has at least convinced me to stick with my ss sub and save me some dosh.
