Diamonds can be a “girls’ best friend” - not my bag, though.

Diamonds do not belong on a man’s watch.

Bingo! I don't like them unless its baguette due to the setting. I like how they did it on the old serti subs and gmt's. You need to buy what sings to you.

The only diamond dials I find aesthetically pleasing are the subtle baguette markers on the Platinum Daytona. The old 5 reference seri GMT/Sub was also acceptable due to the discrete diamond setting/mount. All the gold set multi-cut diamonds on other dials look garish to my eyes detracting from the beauty of the overall watch.

I feel this is a very personal choice but I’d take the baguette markers on the platinum daytona all day long!

I wish the new Platinum Daytona with open caseback, had the baguette hour markers and full ice blue dial with no brown subdials. Just my opinion.

Just posted this pic on the Daytona Pics Only thread. This is my only full PM piece. I like the bling from time to time.

Any PM Daytona with the round diamond hour markers just looks like a ladies watch. I wouldn’t even wear it, though. It’s too gaudy! The exception is the platinum with baguettes. I could wear that one.

that gold day-date with the black dial and baguettes is EXACTLY the configuration I'll be seeking, if/when I finally decide to go after a day-date for my collection. Nice 3-piece spread ya got there!

I don't like them with diamonds.

It's pretty telling that the Daytona's with diamonds are selling comparably to those without.

Not my cup of tea, especially on a professional model, but it’s your watch so buy and wear what you like.

I suppose it is why they are made with diamonds: if no one liked them, they wouldn’t be making and selling so many.
